For students looking to improve their Portuguese, or faculty hoping to collaborate with Brazilian colleagues, the São Paulo Global Center is a necessary stop on your journey to becoming a global citizen.

Since the São Paulo Global Center opened its doors in 2016, it has widened the University’s engagement in South America. Though partnerships in Brazil are long-running, in the past few years there’s been an increase in the number of Brazilian students visiting South Bend as undergraduates and as part of NDI’s American Short-Term programs. Student and faculty exchanges have become more readily available through memoranda with top institutions. And the number of internships and service opportunities are constantly growing.

In the months and years ahead, expect to see workshops and seminars for faculty and university leadership, collaborative research endeavors with Brazilian institutions, and additional study and work opportunities for undergraduates.
